Desi Tadka in Bells Corners is where it all started. Since 2019, we've been serving Ottawa's most authentic North Indian food — from dine-in dinners to weekly tiffin plans and full catering for weddings and events. Our recipes come from a family kitchen in Amritsar, and every dish is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, every single day. No shortcuts, no frozen bases — just real food.
Our Amritsari Kulcha is the dish that put Desi Tadka on the map. Stuffed with spiced potato and onion, hand-stretched, and baked directly on the wall of our clay tandoor oven at over 400°C. Served with chole (spiced chickpeas) and three chutneys — this is Ottawa's most authentic kulcha, period.
